7artisans 12mm/f2.8 gallery
Images for your enjoyment
A few images I took in the first week I had the 7Artisans 12/2.8. It was greyish, dull weather, and the lens did not make it look sunnier … luckily. We also got some bleak mid-January sun and that worked out nicely — so no ghosting, flares, purple fringes, chroma’s, or whatever else flaws in the lens might concoct. Or, putting it in other words, a quite decent performance!
Bricks and branches are well defined
Mos en hout zijn goed gedefinieerd

Dull weather remains dull
Frisbee golf, Stadspark
I thought it would be too messy, but the picture turned out to be fairly palatable -- enough definition in the grass and foliage
Stadspark, in the Heemtuin, at our own public bench
Martinikerkhof -- tree and houses are all nicely crisp
Difficult light, but the effect is very good (just a shame I cut off a bit of the church at the choir side)
Martinikerkhof, I am just happy with a picture like this
Not the best composition, but I wanted to leave out a parked car beyond the left border, and as my principal purpose was to show off the lens, I did not mind.
This is a thing I do more often, having a brick wall disappear from view. I don't know what the art critics say, but I love the tactile view of the bricks one gets.
