Here are some pictures of the Canal Parade in Amsterdam. I stayed for the first 30 floats (out of 80), when my view gradually became more and more limited due to people crowding in. Still got some juicy pictures, I think. Burgemeester Job Cohen led the parade; minister Plasterk of OCW (just google than one), is the guy with the big hat later on.
No, I was not drunk -- I maybe pushed it a bit too far with taking pictures at an angle (a slight angle sometimes makes it more dynamic), but it was partly also attempting to stay clear from heads, arms ad other bodyparts in front of me.
